Jack Le Brocq went fastest in Friday afternoon's Practice 2 at the Watpac Townsville 400 on the MW Motorsport driver's 25th Birthday.
Le Brocq finished the final Super2 session with a 1.14.7366s lap, with Todd Hazelwood just 0.06s behind.
Hazelwood remained consistently at the top of the times through practice and looks to mak amends for a tough result in the previous round at Phillip Island.
Macauley Jones was having issues with his #14 BJR Commodore throughout the duration of the 40-minute session. The BJR driver then managed to complete a fast lap and secure P3, just 0.007s behind Hazelwood in the closing moments of the session.
MW Motorsport’s Shae Davies recovered from issues in P1 and put together a solid practice two this afternoon at Reid Park finishing P4 after an earlier lock up.
Richard Muscat, Anton de Pasquale, Garry Jacobson, Bryce Fullwood, Will Brown and Paul Dumbrell secured the final positions in the top-10.
Brodie Kostecki spun his FG Falcon early in the session after contact from Mason Barbera.
Nathan Morcom was another driver to have a high-profile lock up.
Super2 debutant Gerard McLeod ended his session early after making contact with the wall.
Jacobson was forced to start practice later than his rivals after a five minute penalty.
