Prodrive racer Jack Le Brocq has claimed ARMOR ALL Pole Position for Dunlop Series race one at the Coates Hire Sydney 500.

The 24-year-old went quickest in Qualifying putting his GoGetta Falcon on pole with a best lap time of 1.28.76.

Le Brocq is putting everything on the line this weekend as he chases his teammate and Championship leader Garry Jacobson for the 2016 title.

Jacobson was trumped by his teammate, however managed to claim third with a 1.29.27 just slightly off the top pace.

GRM’s James Golding remained consistently on the pace in this morning’s qualifying, finishing his best lap just six hundredths of a second behind Le Brocq on Pole.

Macauley Jones secured fourth place, while Josh Kean claimed fifth.

In the opening minutes of the session Adam Marjoram managed to rearrange the tyre walls after an off-track adventure, rejoining without major damage.

Midway through the session Jake Kostecki got some fresh air as his door swung open on the circuit.

In the closing minutes of qualifying, top placed rookie Richard Muscat hit the tyre wall at high speed, causing damage to the front left of #44 Commodore. Muscat finished 12th in the session.

The Supercars Dunlop Series will be back on-track at 2:30pm for Race One at the Coates Hire Sydney 500.
