Hazelwood tops Super2 timesheets

Todd Hazelwood has finished on top of practice two for the Dunlop Super2 Series at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide.

The Bigmate Holden Commodore went quickest in the closing minutes of the session with a best lap time of 1:22.4329s.

Hazelwood incurred a five-minute pitlane penalty from practice one for crossing the control line twice after the chequered flag.

Garry Rogers Motorsport’s Richard Muscat claimed P2, just 0.765s behind Hazelwood.

Veteran Paul Dumbrell remained consistent in this afternoon’s session taking P3. Dumbrell topped this morning’s practice, but managed to skin his time of a 1:23.1776s to a 1:22.555s.

The top eight in practice two were all faster than Dumbrell’s best lap time this morning.

Macauley Jones is proving he’s on the pace in 2017, finishing P4 in his Payce Commodore, going one better to this morning’s session.

Bryce Fullwood managed to scrape into the top five in his older generation Ford Falcon FG.

Renee Gracie lost her front right wheel exiting turn eight with 17 minutes remaining in the session. The tyre was replaced and she ended the session 18th.

The Dunlop Super2 Series will be back on-track tomorrow for a 20-minute Qualifying session at 1:30pm Adelaide local time.
