Zane Goddard claimed a maiden ARMOR ALL Pole in the Dunlop Super2 Series at Barbagallo Wanneroo Raceway.

The MW Motorsport driver recorded a 54.4955s in a final-run showdown for the opening leg of Round 2 of the 2019 season at the PIRTEK Perth SuperNight.

Goddard, who topped the timesheets in Thursday practice, finished the session 0.1224 seconds clear of Eggleston Motorsport's Will Brown.

In another MW Nissan, Bryce Fullwood took third, having momentarily spent time in first place, while Triple Eight's Kurt Kostecki was fourth.

As the 15-minute ARMOR ALL Qualifying got underway, it was Fullwood who set the pace, before he was displaced by Adam Majoram.

Marjoram was in first place for the bulk of the session, until a late flurry of laps shook up the order, with Goddard eventually taking pole.

Matt Stone Racing's Ash Walsh and Tickford's Thomas Randle will start share the third row.

Jack Smith was seventh, ahead of Mason Barbera, who took a maiden pole at the series opener in Adelaide.

Dylan O'Keeffe was the best of the rookies in ninth, while Marjoram rounded out the top 10.

Jordan Boys missed out on the top 10 by one position, ahead of Jake Kostecki, Dean Fiore and Brenton Grove.

Brodie Kostecki spent the majority of the session in the pits and wound up 17th.

The opening race will commence at 5:25pm local time, followed by Race 2 on Saturday, as part of the PIRTEK Perth SuperNight.
