Freightliner has rejoined BJR's Andrew Jones for his assault on the Dunlop Series race at Bathurst this weekend.

The Team Freightliner VEII Commodore will sport an eye catching yellow livery, a fresh take on the orange design the team sported when Freightliner last partnered with Jones at the Perth round in May.

"It is terrific to have Freightliner Trucks and Alliance Truck Parts as part of our DVS program for what is the biggest event on the Dunlop Series calendar at Bathurst this weekend," Jones said.

"For me, the Bathurst weekend has so much hype, buzz and history that surrounds it that I can't help but get caught up in it and always love this event."

While Jones enters the round sitting 9th in the Championship after some bad luck in previous rounds, he is confident in the speed of the car at Mount Panorama.

"We have been strong at this event the last two years and will be working hard to keep that run going this year," he said.

The single 250km race on Saturday is the first 'Endurance' style to be introduced in the history of the Dunlop Series and is an initiative by V8 Supercars to broaden the learning capacity for all drivers and teams involved in the category that are looking to progress to the main series.

The Team Freightliner Commodore will first hit the track today for practice, then qualifying on Friday and the race on Saturday.
