Family sacrifices aren't lost on Triple Eight young gun Declan Fraser, who scored a breakthrough Dunlop Super2 Series title.

The Queenslander won both races at the VALO Adelaide 500 to win the crown.

Fraser led four drivers into the finale, and bested all of them to win Triple Eight’s third Super2 title.

The 22-year-old was imperious in Adelaide under pressure, taking both poles and scoring the maximum 300 points.

For Fraser, it was testament to his hard-working family, who have poured everything into his career.

It comes after Fraser’s grandmother — who was his biggest fan — passed away last year.

Fraser’s parents and sister were both onsite to watch the victory.

"I cannot put it into words,” Fraser said.

"Mum and Dad have put in so many sacrifices over the years, same with my sister as well.

"Not only to ensure I was here (racing in Super2) but racing as well, so to have them here this weekend it means the most.

"My Nan sadly could not be here, she passed away last year.

“She also made so many sacrifices to ensure I was racing from travelling all over Australia with my Toyota 86 on the back of a trailer with Pop.

“She was definitely with us [on Sunday]."

Fraser paid his own way to non-Super2 events to be a fly on the wall with Red Bull Ampol Racing.

It paid dividends, Fraser closing out the Super2 season with an error-free weekend.

Fraser's win was followed by a maiden Supercars victory for friend and Triple Eight stablemate Broc Feeney.

With the title, Fraser helped Triple Eight win the Supercars drivers’ and teams’ titles, Super2 title and Bathurst 1000 in the same year.

“It is pretty special to be a part of history,” said Fraser, who will shortly jet off to holiday in Bali..

"I worked a lot on my mental state actually heading into this weekend.

"I had a completely different mindset than I did the whole season and I think it showed,” he said.

"That final race was intense, there was a lot of carnage behind and in front.

"We had a lot more pace than Matt [Chahda], but he was a bit more on edge than I was willing to drive and I got pushed wide.

"But held my nerve and got it back to within the five second bracket.

"We came away with all the wins and championship, so could not be better."
