Feeney and Best gap the field in wet Super2 qualifying

Broc Feeney and Zak Best were cut above in water-logged qualifying for the second Dunlop Series race in Sydney.

First and second in the championship, Feeney and Best will start Race 2 from first and second.

The two drivers traded fast times in the driving rain at Sydney Motorsport Park, with the end margin just 0.060s.

It was even closer between the two ahead of their final runs, with Triple Eight teen Feeney marginally ahead.

With his third ARMOR ALL Pole Position of 2021, Feeney is in the box seat to carry an extended points lead into the Bathurst season finale.

Saturday winner Tyler Everingham was third, albeit 0.771s from Feeney.

Angelo Mouzouris rebounded from a spin at Turn 6 late in the session to qualify fourth ahead of 2007 series champion Tony D'Alberto.

Josh Fife and Declan Fraser, who finished third on Saturday, qualified sixth and seventh, with Matt Chahda, Tim Blanchard and Saturday pole winner Jayden Ojeda rounding out the top 10.

Nash Morris scored Super3 pole and will line up 18th for the 18-lap race, which is scheduled to commence at 2:00pm AEDT. Click here to view the race schedule.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 506) and streamed on Kayo.
