Drivers took to Sydney Motorsport Park on Thursday for a standalone test ahead of the fourth round of the 2021 Dunlop Series season.

Two days after main game teams tested their Repco Bathurst 1000 programmes, Super2 and Super3 teams tackled SMSP.

It marked the final laps in anger for the next generation of stars ahead of this weekend's Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.

This weekend's event will be the first development series action since July's WD-40 Townsville SuperSprint.

Triple Eight Race Engineering teenager Broc Feeney arrived in Sydney with a slender lead over Tickford Racing driver Zak Best.

Feeney completed 55 laps of the Eastern Creek venue across the two sessions on Thursday.

Best was joined in the #78 Tickford Falcon by main game star Cameron Waters as they logged 79 laps across the two sessions.

The day also featured Matt Payne, who will make his Super2 debut this weekend for Grove Motorsport.

The New Zealand teen had Andre Heimgartner and Matt Campbell in his corner on Thursday as he came to grips with his Nissan Altima Supercar.

Main game veterans and returning Super2 drivers Tim Blanchard and Tony D'Alberto also turned laps in their respective Eggleston Motorsport Commodores.

D'Alberto, the 2007 series champion, will make his first development series start in 14 years ahead of his Repco Bathurst 1000 co-driving duties.

Elly Morrow turned the most Super3 laps aboard her Brad Jones Racing Commodore in the afternoon session with 68 tours of SMSP.

Super3 points leader Nash Morris was quickest in the morning and afternoon sessions among Super3 runners.

Dunlop Series drivers will complete two practice sessions on Friday; one at 2:25pm AEDT, and another at 6:40pm. The weekend will feature two 18-lap races, one each on Saturday and Sunday.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Series seasons will resume this weekend at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight. Click here to view the race schedule.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 506) and streamed on Kayo.
