Lochie Dalton will complete his first full Super2 season in 2023 with Brad Jones Racing, the team has confirmed.

Dalton debuted with BJR in Super2 at last year’s VALO Adelaide 500.

He made an immediate impression, racing to 12th in Race 1 before coming home eighth in Race 2.

Dalton replaced Elly Morrow, who has shifted to an expanded Tickford Racing.

He will race the #43 with backing from AWC Pty Ltd.

Dalton will also dovetail his maiden Super2 campaign with starts in Trans Am.

The 21-year-old will drive the ZB Commodore that Macauley Jones raced in the 2022 main series.

“Adelaide was such an awesome opportunity and I took so much from that weekend, to get inside the top 10 in my second race was pretty special,” Dalton said.

“I’m very excited to race the full season with BJR; I’ve learnt so much from the team already and I can’t wait to get in the car for the first time at the Winton test day.

“We get to race the car that the Supercars guys were in last year, so while fans are familiar with them, they’re still a new experience for a lot of drivers.

“It’s going to be a very interesting year.”

Team owner Jones added: “I’m thrilled to be able to welcome Lochie back into the fold, this time for a full season in Super2.

“He’s an exciting talent and he blends well with the team.

“He performed well in Adelaide and we’re excited to be able to give him another shot this year in the ZB Commodore.”

Dalton will test his BJR ZB Commodore at Winton on January 24.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle on March 10-12.

Tickets are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
