Supercars is thrilled to announce that star performer from the critically acclaimed production Tina - The Tina Turner Musical will be on the grid this weekend, performing the national anthem at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.

The anthem will mark a spectacular opening to the historic first-ever race under lights between the Gen3 Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Singing the National Anthem will be Ruva Ngwenya, currently starring as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll herself in Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, now playing to standing ovations at Theatre Royal Sydney through December. Get your tickets at tinathemusical.com.au.

Penrith-born 2010 Supercars Champion James Courtney and star of Tina, Ruva Ngwenya met up at Theatre Royal in Sydney earlier this week for a News Limited media call, ahead of Saturday’s opening race of Supercars only Sydney event of the year.

Tina has captivated audiences worldwide with their breathtaking story of Tina Turner on stage.
