An ex-Glenn Seton Ford Falcon BA will make an appearance at next month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.
Prodrive, which was key in bringing Ford Performance Racing onto the grid in 2003, is bringing a collection of its race and rally cars from the past 40 years to the Goodwood event.
Prodrive chairman David Richards added the Seton Falcon to his Banbury, UK-based museum collection back in 2019.
The cars range from the 1981 World Rally Championship-winning Ford Escort RS1800 MkII of Ari Vatanen, to the latest Aston Martin Vantage GTE, which won the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2020.
Nine-time World Rally Championship winner Sebastien Loeb, who competes for the Prodrive-run Bahrain Raid Xtreme team, will drive the Prodrive Hunter.
Vatanen and Prodrive chairman David Richards will be reunited with one of the MkII Escorts which helped them win their World Rally title 40 years ago.
The Seton Falcon, which the 1993 and 1997 ATCC champion drove in 2003 and 2004, won’t be the only Supercar on show at the event.
A Dick Johnson Racing, Shell V-Power-liveried Mustang will be driven at the event.
DJR FG19, which was originally built as a Ford FG Falcon, was later converted to the Mustang body style and used as a Team Penske show car.
Last month, Ford CEO Jim Farley got behind the wheel of the Mustang in the US.
"The Festival of Speed is one of the motorsport events of the year that I really look forward to,” Richards said.
"The paddock has a unique atmosphere where fans can get close to their heroes and have the opportunity to see so much motorsport history race up the hill.
"We’ll be joining the action with a number of our cars that represent Prodrive’s successes over the four decades.”
Prodrive will also bring the 1995 Subaru Impreza Group A which Colin McRae clinched his WRC title, and the 2004 BAR Honda Formula 1 car. Prodrive ran the BAR F1 team between 2002 and 2004.
