The stories of Dick Johnson and Mount Panorama are legendary.
From hitting a rock or carving a Falcon-sized hole in trees, to winning the Great Race on three occasions, the Queenslander has done it all at the Bathurst 1000.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Johnson's first Bathurst 1000 win in 1981, Repco is offering one lucky fan the chance to win a limited edition DJR Mustang GT.
This will be no ordinary Mustang.
Custom built by Herrod Performance, the vehicle includes a supercharged V8, plus a high-performance alloy radiator, engine cooler and bespoke transmission cooler, all designed to keep the huge V8 cool at peak performance.
It also features bespoke road wheel wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, unique DJR body decals on the bonnet and doors, DJR body styling kit and a unique Herrod flat bottom Alcantara steering wheel.
The Mustang includes a unique DJR front fender badge and rear deck lid with DJR 40th Anniversary badging, valued at over $140,000 AUD including on-road costs.

The start of the 1981 race
There are four moments to choose from, including the day he hit the rock in 1980, coming back the following year and winning his first Great Race, the year he hit the trees in the 1983 shootout, or his final victory in 1994.
