PremiAir Racing has confirmed former Blanchard Racing Team and Erebus Motorsport engineer Mirko De Rosa has joined the team.

De Rosa's signing comes after the team scored the coup of Ludo Lacroix, who departed Dick Johnson Racing last last year.

Neither De Rosa or Lacroix have yet to be confirmed in an exact role, although De Rosa has previously worked with Tim Slade before. De Rosa was Slade's engineer at BRT in 2021 and 2022.

"Mirko is a well-respected and successful race engineer, and with a decade of experience in the Supercars paddock under his belt, including some great results along the way," team owner Peter Xiberras said.

"There is no doubt his appointment will further bolster our engineering department ahead of the new season.

"He also has a great relationship with several members of our team already, including with Tim, with the pair having enjoyed a successful working partnership for two years.

“We are all greatly looking forward to welcoming Mirko to our engineering line-up here at PremiAir Racing for what is shaping up to be a truly exciting year ahead.”

The arrival of Lacroix and De Rosa coincides with the departure of Dr Geoffrey Slater. Slater was most recently the team's Director of Engineering.

De Rosa, who shifted from Erebus Motorsport to BRT in 2021, said: “I am looking forward to joining the team at PremiAir Racing and I can't wait to share some success with the team.

“I can see what Pete is trying to achieve and his vision, and I am very excited to be a part of it.”

PremiAir Racing will test at Queensland Raceway on February 5 ahead of the season-opening Thrifty Bathurst 500 on February 23-25.
