PremiAir Racing has joined forces with Schumacher Motorsport to enter the 2023 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour.

The Gold Coast-based team is currently preparing for its second Supercars campaign.

It will open 2023 with a maiden 12 Hour bid alongside Brad Schumacher’s team.

PremiAir Racing is set to run an all-Pro entry as it targets outright honours.

Lubricant brand Fuchs will be the major partner of the team’s Audi.

Other details, including the full driving roster, will be announced in coming days.

The February 3-5 event will be PremiAir Racing's debut in GT3 competition.

The 12 Hour start sees PremiAir add GT3 racing to its motorsport portfolio.

Peter Xiberras’ squad is a mainstay in the Australian Top Fuel Championship, and will compete at this weekend's New Year Nitro event.

Fellow Supercars teams Triple Eight and Grove Racing will also take part in the race.

Bathurst privateer Schumacher recently upgraded his Audi R8 LMS Evo to current specification.

Schumacher has three Bathurst 12 Hour starts to his name, and raced with the factory-supported Audi Customer Sport Racing team in 2022.

He shared the #74 Audi R8 LMS with global star Kelvin van der Linde and Nathanael Berthon, and finished fourth.

Schumacher teamed with Tim Slade to finish second in the three-hour GT World Challenge Australia endurance race in Bathurst last November.

Slade finished behind Triple Eight’s Broc Feeney, who will race a Mercedes-AMG in the 12 Hour.

Slade will also race a PremiAir Chevrolet Camaro in the forthcoming Supercars season.

Tickets for the 2023 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour are on sale now on Ticketek.com.

Camping for the 2023 event is also on sale.
