This year’s Cash Converters Supercars Eseries will feature a hybrid format of the competition, with two championships within the series.

The All Stars consists of main game Supercars and Dunlop Super2 drivers, while the Pro Series features elite gamers representing Supercars teams.

This Wednesday, the online racing series will see Supercars drivers and pro gamers pair up for a virtual endurance race at Mount Panorama.

Qualifying begins at 7pm AEST on Supercars’ Facebook page, Supercars  Twitch and YouTube.

Racing coverage for Round 1 begins at 7.30pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 506, Kayo, 7Plus, and Sky NZ.

Online fans from around the globe can watch races via the Supercars’ Facebook page, Supercars  Twitch and YouTube.

Round 5 of the Eseries will see the All Stars and Pro Series grids join forces for a 22-lap enduro at Mount Panorama.

FAVOURITES

Last week saw Brodie Kostecki continuing his Cash Converters Eseries championship charge winning from pole in the All Stars race at Phillip Island.

The Boost Mobile Commodore driver will be teaming up with Erebus Academy talent Jarrad Filsell at the mountain, with the pair dominating the Sandown enduro earlier this season.

The duo will prove hard to beat on the mountain, the previously combined to win a thrilling Cash Converters Supercars Eseries Bathurst enduro last season.

Andre Heimgartner and Jake Burton will be a combination to watch in Bathurst, the pair claimed second in the Sandown enduro in Round 2.

Pro Series points leader Burton has impressed this season, scoring a win and three podiums.

Heimgartner sits sixth overall despite missing Round 3 due to his monumental crash at Tailem Bend.

The Brad Jones Racing driver claimed back-to-back podiums in Winton and Sandown and will likely be a frontrunner in Bathurst.

Justin Ruggier remains on the pace this series, with the driver sim racing ace scoring a podium at Phillip Island last week.

Ruggier will share the Cash Converters Racing Mustang with Brenton Hobson.

Jones has recorded two top-five results so far this season, the pair finished fifth at Sandown earlier this season.

Race 4 Highlights Pro Series Eseries – Phillip Island

THE FORM SEEKERS

Madison Down will be keen to keep himself in title contention after claiming his second race win last week at Phillip Island.

He won the race from pole ahead of Brad Jones Racing teammate Burton.

Down will team up with Aaron Borg at Mount Panorama, the consistent All Stars series frontrunner is fourth in the points.

Andrew Gilliam will be looking to continue his resurgence of form at Mount Panorama, following a breakthrough podium result at Phillip Island.

The Matt Stone Racing driver finished second in the opening fan’s choice sprint race at Michigan after Jarrad Filsell’s penalty.

Gilliam will pair up with teenager Reuben Goodall, who impressed with his spirited race-long fight with Kostecki at Phillip Island last week.

THE ROUGHIES

Jayden Ojeda continues to be a consistent top-ten contender; however, his Walkinshaw Andretti United and defending champion teammate Warren Dayne has had a troubled season. He hasn’t won since the Winton opener.

Matt McLean could be an outside chance to claim a podium in the enduro.

He recorded fifth in Phillip Island last week.

Jake Kostecki will be looking to climb his way back up into top contention after finishing seventh at Phillip Island.

He will combine with Pro Series talent Jordan Caruso; the duo came third in the Sandown enduro earlier this season.

THE CIRCUIT

The Mount Panorama Circuit, famously the home of the Bathurst 1000, is the most iconic venue in Australian motorsport.

The 6.2km-long circuit consists of famous sections such as Mountain Straight, the Dipper and Conrod Straight.

It was one of the highlights of the 2021 Cash Converters Eseries, with the All Stars and Pro gamers teaming up for the first time in the virtual series.

THE FORMAT

Round 5 sees the All Stars and Pro Gamers join forces to tackle Mount Panorama.

Both teams will complete one combined 20-minute qualifying session that will set the grid for their race.

The fastest five qualifiers will roll into a 10-minute Top 5 Shootout, with All Star drivers required to set their best flying lap to set the grid for Race 5.

  • 19:05-19:25 - Qualifying for Race 5, Mount Panorama Circuit

  • 19:40-19:50 – Top 5 Shootout for Race 5, Mount Panorama Circuit

  • 20:05 – Race 5, Mount Panorama Circuit, 22 laps or 50 minutes, one pitstop, 300 points available

  • Points will be shared 50/50 across both the Pro Series and All Stars drivers.

Race 4 Highlights All Stars Eseries – Phillip Island

TRACK CONDITIONS

Track state for qualifying and Race 5 will be set to 75 percent.

  • Weather conditions will be 23°c (74°F), Partly cloudy, humidity 55, wind 5mph, North.

  • Dynamic sky with no weather.

  • Time of day: Afternoon.

COMPULSORY PIT STOPS 

  • Race 5 – 1 CPS

  • Drivers must take 4 new tyres during each CPS

  • No fuel required

DRIVER FAIR SHARE

  • Either driver can start the race

  • Driver fair share will be disabled for this session

  • All Stars drivers must complete a minimum of 9 laps.

  • Pro Series drivers must complete a minimum of 6 laps.

  • Laps will be counted by the official iRacing timing only.

  • Teams must complete at least 1 driver change during the course of the race. This change can occur outside of the CPS.

WHERE TO WATCH

The Cash Converters Supercars Eseries will take place on the iRacing platform, running over six weekly rounds from Wednesday 20th July through to 24th August and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 506, Kayo, 7Plus, Sky NZ, and on Supercars Facebook, YouTube and Twitch channels.

Four-time Bathurst 1000 winner Garth Tander will join the Supercars broadcast panel alongside Chad Neylon to host the Eseries.

Regular Eseries commentator Jonathan Simon returns as a pitlane reporter for the series.
