The top 10 competitors to come through the first stage of the Repco Supercars Pro Eseries draft process will do battle tonight in a bid to push their case to be snapped up by a team.

After copious laps were logged in the week-long time attack session at iRacing’s Phillip Island circuit, 10 names stood out at the top.

Little more than two tenths separated that group, which was led by Jordan Caruso’s 1:28.512 effort.

Richard Hamstead was his nearest challenger on a 1:28.530, with fellow 2019 Eseries drivers Ethan Grigg-Gault, Josh Muggleton and Brady Meyers also making the cut.

The other five names on the list were Jake Moloney, Griffin Gardiner, Benjamin Smith, Cooper Webster and Tom Freer.

Those 10 will now contest a virtual three-race event tonight, starting with a qualifying session at Silverstone from 7pm AEDT.

Races will follow at Silverstone, Interlagos and Phillip Island, with each necessitating a compulsory pitstop for four tyres.

Points will be awarded for each race, with 10 going to the winning driver scaled down to one for the last-placed finisher.

The driver who accrues the most points across the night will thus put themselves in the box seat to be an early draft pick.

It’s expected that six teams, including Kelly Racing, will select a driver out of the draft.

The six-round Repco Supercars Pro Eseries will start on October 28.
