Erebus Motorsport has announced they will field three drivers in the upcoming Cash Converters Supercars Eseries.

Erebus Motorsport’s Brodie Kostecki will line up for the All Stars Eseries, while Erebus Academy recruit Jobe Stewart and pro-gamer Jarrad Filsell will help form the Pro Series grid.

The new hybrid format will see the All Stars, consisting of Supercars drivers, and the Pro Series competing weekly across six rounds from Wednesday August 25.

Cash Converters Supercars Eseries coming soon

Both Kostecki and Filsell will run the Erebus Boost Mobile Racing livery Kostecki currently dons in the Supercars Championship, while Stewart will adopt the same rolling sponsorship program as seen on car #9 this season.

Kostecki secured two second-placed finishes and a top ten as a wildcard in last year’s All Stars Eseries, while he also made an appearance in the Pro Series in November.

“The competition level is definitely a lot higher with the pro gamers versus the Supercar drivers but I think the competition amongst the Supercar drivers will be harder this year,” Kostecki said.

“Last year some of the drivers either didn’t have simulators or hadn’t raced that much on the sim before but now they have and they’ve enjoyed it.

“I think you’ll find that the drivers this year are going to be those who enjoy it and have picked it up as a hobby.

“I hope I can maintain my All Stars results from last time around, obviously last year I wasn't full time so it’ll be great to be racing consistently.”

Both Stewart and Filsell return to the Series after running last year, with Filsell taking out fourth in the overall standings.

Filsell’s campaign saw him achieve eight top-five finishes, five podiums and two wins across the six-round competition.

“I'm looking forward to the challenge again this year,” Filsell said.

“It’s great to be pairing up with Boost Mobile and Erebus, hopefully I’ll be running at the pointy end more frequently this year.

“I drive around a lot with Brodie in our spare time and I’m also a coach for Virtual Racing School so that keeps me busy throughout the week doing data and setups for the community.”

Meanwhile, Stewart claimed two podiums and four top tens in the Series, following his third-place finish in the Erebus Junior Esport Competition and a championship win in the Speedcafe.com GT3 Eseries.

Having not raced on track since February, Stewart has competed in a number of sim racing events including the V8SCOPS Premier Series - one of the strongest Supercar fields in sim racing.

Erebus Junior Stewart will join their Eseries line-up

“I definitely feel more confident heading into this year’s Eseries, I’ve been sim racing a lot recently and have been getting some good results,” Stewart said.

“I've been taking the V8SCOPS series more seriously and really trying to use it as training for the Eseries.

“I’ve started to close the gap to the guys who were at the top last year and I believe I have a fairly good shot of doing really well.”

The hybrid series will kick off on Wednesday 25 August with all rounds broadcast on Fox Sports, Kayo, Twitch and Erebus Motorsport’s Facebook.
