Electrical home appliance manufacturer BEKO has confirmed its continued partnership with Erebus Motorsport V8, sponsoring the #4 and #9 entries for the 2014 V8 Supercars Championship.
It was reported this morning on v8supercars.com.au Erebus Motorsport would scale back from its current three to two cars in next year’s Championship, with Lee Holdsworth to be joined by a yet to be announced driver.
BEKO has been involved with the team since the beginning of this season, but for 2014 there will be an increased presence on the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG V8 Supercars.
“Having the BEKO logos on the bumpers of the cars provides us with great brand exposure," said Managing Director BEKO Australian & New Zealand Pty Ltd Michael Goadby.
"BEKO re-leverages its sponsorship by using it as a business tool to drive sales and build relationships with its retail customers. For the Gold Coast 600 event in particular, BEKO runs a national sales incentive with 200 retail customers whereby 25 of the highest performing sales staff from these retail stores win an all expenses paid weekend at the race hosted by us.”
Erebus CEO Ryan Maddison said the partnership with BEKO was a great fit for the team.
"We take great pride in not only representing BEKO but also working with them as they continue to build the brand in the market," said Maddison.
"As a premium brand in their arena, It is clearly great news for Erebus to see an increased involvement from BEKO and we are keen to repay that commitment with some strong performances on the tracks across Australia and New Zealand in 2014."
The BEKO logos will be seen on the Erebus Motorsport entries of #4 Lee Holdsworth, #9 Maro Engel and #47 of Tim Slade at the Sydney NRMA Motoring and Services 500 at the Olympic Park precinct this weekend.
Tickets are still available for the grand finale.
