Supercars rising stars Thomas Randle and Jake Kostecki have met with some of their youngest fans in Tasmania, just 10 days out from the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint.

The drivers joined students at Ravenswood Heights Primary School and visited a number of local radio stations to help promote next week’s opening sprint round of the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship.

Tickets for the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint are on sale now.

Randle and Kostecki visit Tassie school

Randle, a former Dunlop Super2 Series Champion, will make his maiden Repco Supercars Championship Round start in Tasmania, following his full-time debut in Sydney earlier this month.

"I've raced here in Tassie before, in Super2 and S5000, it's such a great event with an awesome atmosphere," Randle said.

"I'm really excited as it's my first full-time Supercars Championship start at Symmons Plains.

"With all the school kids here, they probably don't get to see much of what we do, so to be able to show them is great, and hopefully we inspire the next generation."

His new Tickford teammate, Kostecki is now in his second year of full-time driving in Supercars and his first in a Ford Mustang.

The pair last raced each other at Symmons Plains in 2018 in the Supercars’ feeder series.

"I'm pretty excited, Symmons Plains is a short track, and the fans really get around the event," Kostecki said.

"Because the track is tight, the field is compressed, which means you can't make any mistakes.

"It's cool to be at the school today, these kids are pretty excited here, it only feels like yesterday I was at school.

"I remember how excited I was when a professional athlete would come to school to speak, and I'm looking forward to hearing their stories too."

Fans will have the opportunity to meet with all the drivers during the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint at the all-driver autograph session on Saturday March 26 from 8:45am – 9:15am.

Supercars are BACK on the Apple Isle

Fans will then be able to tour pit lane on Sunday morning during the Pit Lane Fan Experience from 8:35am – 9:25am.

Supercars is offering Tassie fans the chance to win a hot lap in the new Gen3 Ford Mustang GT and General Motors Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 prototypes.

The stars of Supercars will join Tasmania’s LAFM for a live broadcast at the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania from 2pm-6pm on Thursday March 24. For your chance to win a hot lap you must attend this event.

The NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint runs at Symmons Plains Raceway on March 26-27. The event is being broadcast exclusively live and ad free on Foxtel and streamed live on Kayo.

The Seven Network will broadcast highlights on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are still available through Ticketek or Supercars.com.
