Kelly Grove Racing has confirmed Luke Youlden will race for the team at this weekend's ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight.

Youlden, the 2017 Bathurst winner, will replace David Reynolds in the #26 Penrite Racing Mustang.

It will be Youlden's solo main game debut after two decades of co-driving duties with a number of teams.

Youlden will be the 19th full-time driver to race for Kelly Grove Racing, which made its debut in 2009.

"I'm super pumped to get the opportunity to drive my first ever sprint round this weekend," the 43-year-old said.

"Getting these laps under my belt before we head to Bathurst will be great preparation before we take on the 1000 in December."

Youlden made his championship debut in 2000 with Perkins Engineering.

He completed the 2000 and 2001 enduros with the Perkins squad before he shifted to Steven Ellery’s team.

Youlden and Ellery scored podiums at Sandown and Bathurst in 2003, with the duo famously finishing third in the Great Race.

He sealed a move to Stone Brothers Racing in 2005 and raced with Russell Ingall, before moving across to Ford Performance Racing in 2008.

A return to SBR in 2012 came before a three-year stint with Brad Jones Racing.

After a single enduro campaign with DJR Team Penske in 2016, Youlden’s most successful stint came with Erebus Motorsport.

Youlden raced alongside Reynolds between 2017 and 2019, with the duo famously winning the 2017 Great Race.

His last main game start was the 2019 Sandown 500, where he crashed out midway through the race in an incident with Dale Wood.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will resume this weekend at the ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight.

Tickets for the three upcoming Sydney events are on sale now.
