Mark Winterbottom will make a TV appearance of a different kind when he lines up as a guest judge on a new Seven Network program.

Winterbottom brought home finishes of 12th, 13th and eighth at last weekend’s NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint.

Two days after the event, the Team 18 driver will return to screens — but in a completely different role.

Winterbottom, 42, will be a guest judge on new Australian reality television show, Blow Up.

The show sees artists compete to create the best balloon artworks, and is hosted by comedians Stephen Curry and Becky Lucas.

The artworks are judged by professional balloon artist Chris Adamo, with the Winterbottom episode featuring a car theme.

The Winterbottom episode will be broadcast at 7:30pm AEST on 7flix on Tuesday May 23.

The 2013 Bathurst winner is one of the most notable names in Supercars, and is no stranger to extra-curricular TV appearances.

Notably, Winterbottom voiced the character 'Frosty' in the Australian release of the 2011 Pixar film Cars 2.

The 38-time race winner also appeared as a contestant on Season 3 of Seven's celebrity series Australia's Greatest Athlete in 2011.

Winterbottom is 15th in the championship heading to the next round, the betr Darwin Triple Crown on June 16-18.

He has four wins, four poles and 11 podiums at the Hidden Valley Raceway venue.
