Racing returned for the first time in over three months at the Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight.

It was a weekend to savour for some, but for the balance of the field, eyes are already on this weekend's ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight.

Check out those who nailed it and those who fell short in the first Sydney event.

WINNERS

Anton De Pasquale

Aside from his exclusion from Race 21, it was the perfect weekend for De Pasquale.

Fastest in practice, all three poles and two race wins, the latter also coming with the fastest lap bonus points.

De Pasquale gapped the field over one lap, and earned comparisons to Scott McLaughlin in the process. Imperious.

Shane van Gisbergen

'We had a bit of luck': SVG on remarkable win

Van Gisbergen walked away with the most points of the weekend, a 12th win of 2021 and an extended series lead.

Not bad considering he qualified sixth, sixth and fourth for the three races.

Erebus Motorsport

Brodie Kostecki's podium on Saturday was was bright result, but a botched pit stop ensured Will Brown missed out on a maiden win.

However, the team retained its speed on Sunday, and Brown duly pushed De Pasquale all the way in the final race to claim his first podium.

Nick Percat

It has been a good few weeks for Percat; he recently confirmed his switch to Walkinshaw Andretti United, and was a standout in Sydney.

Percat qualified fourth, fifth and ninth for the three races, and scored a podium in Sunday's first race.

He only missed out on a Saturday night podium after being passed in the closing laps.

LOSERS

Will Davison

'I'm devastated, mate': Davison

Davison looked odds-on to claim his first win in five years before his dash crashed in Sunday's first race.

The veteran was forced to give up his three-second margin trying to slow his car in the lane, and took on four tyres versus van Gisbergen's three.

He still only just emerged behind, and pushed van Gisbergen all the way - but his emotion was undeniable, and warranted.

Regardless, Davison's solid pace ensured he returned to third in the points.

Tickford Racing

Waters frustrated by 'sh*t weekend'

Tickford was nowhere all weekend; Cameron Waters finished 13th in the first two races, and scored a top 10 in the finale.

Critically, Tim Slade - who is racing an ex-Tickford Mustang, and has an engineering support and engine deal with Tickford - outperformed Tickford.

Walkinshaw Andretti United

Chaz Mostert endured a weekend of damage limitation, scoring finished of sixth, seventh and seventh.

He did, however, move forward in each race, having qualified ninth, eighth and 10th.

Bryce Fullwood recorded finishes of 12th, 12th and 18th.

Matt Stone Racing

MSR ensured a tough weekend; it came after the team continued to march forward in Darwin and Townsville.

The team battled to get its head around tyres, with Jake Kostecki's 17th in Race 22 the team's best result across both cars.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will resume this weekend at the ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight.

Tickets for the three upcoming Sydney events are on sale now.
