The Repco Supercars Championship returns to South Australia for this weekend’s eighth round of the 2022 season – the OTR SuperSprint.

The three-day weekend will feature two days of Supercars racing.

Across Saturday and Sunday, the Supercars action will be headlined by three 24-lap sprints.

Top 5 drivers to watch at Tailem Bend

With just five days until the cars hit the track for Practice 1, Supercars.com has listed some answers to key questions ahead of the event.

The OTR SuperSprint will be a three-day event held across July 29-31.

The race weekend will feature three 24-lap races, one on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The support category line-up will include the Haltech SuperUte Series, Aussie Racing Cars Super Series, Historic Group N Invitational, Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup and the National Sports Sedan Series.

The OTR SuperSprint will be staged in accordance with all applicable government regulations, including those responding to COVID-19, as well as a detailed COVIDSafe Event Plan prepared by Supercars and approved by government.

The event will be broadcast in full on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo, with the Seven Network providing one-hour highlights on Saturday and Sunday.

In a first for Tailem Bend, Supercars incoming Gen3 Camaro and Mustang will also be on track. The full weekend schedule can be viewed here.

All General Admission tickets include paddock access, so you can see the drivers and teams up close.

Visit the Supercars Paddock on Sunday for the opportunity to meet your favourite Supercars drivers and get a personally signed poster.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet with all the drivers at The Bend Motorsport Park at the all-driver autograph session on Sunday July 31 from 10.55am to 11.20am local time.

The broader entertainment package will include Silver Sharks Aerial stunt show, on-track demonstrations by Matt Mingay’s Hot Wheels Stunt Team, Drag Car demonstrations and Saturday night fireworks.

The Bend flashback: SVG wins inaugural OTR SuperSprint

Children aged 14 and under are free to enter the venue in general admission areas; however, they must be always accompanied by their ticket-holding parent or guardian. Children require tickets for hospitality and grandstand areas.

The corporate experience facilities are located within the Paddock and guests are instructed to enter via Gate 5.

There will be food and beverage outlets located around the venue, as indicated on the Track Map.

Merchandise pop-up stores will be located in the Supercars paddock entertainment area.

There will be no ATMs at the event. Cashless is preferred at this event.

Patrons may bring in limited quantities of food and drink for personal consumption. No alcohol or glass is permitted to be brought into the precinct.

Fans with a three-day ticket will be able to watch all the support category action trackside on Friday July 29.

Feel the heat at the OTR The Bend SuperSprint

Historic Touring Cars will begin its first practice session at 8:40am local time.

Support categories will make up the Friday card, which will conclude with Gen3 track time.

The Gen3 Camaro and Mustang prototypes will have an hour to themselves on the Friday afternoon.

Supercars will hit the Tailem Bend circuit for the first of two 30-minute practice sessions at 9:45am local time on Saturday. Check out the full weekend schedule here.

General admission access to the event is through Gate B.

Park ‘N’ View access is located at Gates 1 and 6.

Gates open at 7:00am local time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Flashback Recap: Heimgartner's heroic first win

The Bend Motorsport Park is located about 100 km south-east of Adelaide, the complex has a bitumen circuit, drag racing strip, and drift racing circuit.

Public parking is available via Gate B, spaces are limited.

All public should refer to their ticket to confirm their gate number to access the venue.

The Bend shuttle bus will run from the city to The Bend each day. Tickets are $10 return.

Departure points include Adelaide CBD, Mount Barker, Nourlunga, Elizabeth and Murray Bridge. For more information and the shuttle timetable CLICK HERE.

Event organisers encourage attendees to stay COVID Safe by washing their hands as often as possible and keeping a safe distance from others.

Race Radio: That last lap clash

Please be courteous when queuing for entry/exit, for food and beverages or for merchandise purchases and always keep 1.5 metres from other patrons.

Otherwise, as with all events, patrons must not attend if feeling unwell or if they have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case.

The event is being broadcast exclusively live and ad free on Foxtel and streamed live on Kayo across July 30-31.

The Seven Network will show a one-hour highlights on Saturday and Sunday.
