The Clipsal 500 Adelaide starts today.

The V8 Supercars season kicks off with a jam-packed schedule and The Potbellez and Sheppard closing the night (click here for more information on the concerts).

Kicking off at 9am the crash and tumble V8 Utes open the action, ahead of a number of exciting support categories taking to the treacherous track.

Formula 3, Aussie Racing Cars and Porsche Carrera Cup Australia are also on track this morning – but it’s the Dunlop Series V8 Supercars that headline today’s running, with practice at 1.20pm and 4.05pm.

It’s the first time to see the bumper 30 car field for 2014, and with Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 winner and popular pit lane personality Paul Dumbrell back in the development category, it’s experience versus young talent in the category. Click here to see the full on-track schedule.

But today is really the day to take in all the off-track attractions.

Grab your Paddock Pass and see the cars and transporters up close – you may even be lucky enough to catch your favourite driver! If so, snap a photo and share with #MyV8 – the best images will be picked up by V8 Supercars and run in exclusive fan galleries.

There’s something to entertain everyone at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide, with a number of displays and hang outs around the street circuit.

The Family Fun Zone is perfect for the kids, and you can also head to the GoPro TrAction Zone, where there’s everything from beachwear parades, the Showtime FMX Freestyle Moto and Porsche Kids Driving School, decked out like a mini community so children can learn the road rules while having fun.

Check out some of the world’s best, with the BMX RAMPage, eight top BMX Dirt Freestyle riders competing over the four days.

Those who’d prefer to chill with a cold drink can hit Coopers 1862 Bar, or the Pit Straight Adrenaline Bar.

Or lose yourself in Sideshow Alley – scream yourself silly on your favourite ride.

There plenty of disaplys, with everything from Ducatis, to Coca Cola memorabilia, to vintage caravans on display.

There are more attractions than you can see in a day – fortunately you’ve got four days to experience all the Clipsal 500 Adelaide has to offer. Click here for today’s full program.

Tickets are still available for the event – secure yours now and head in to the track for the first day of the first V8 Supercars Championship race event.
