Tickford Racing star Cam Waters will make a mid-season speedway cameo in a famous venue’s swansong event.

This weekend will see the final competitive action at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane’s southwest.

Archerfield has hosted speedway action for over 40 years, and is known as Brisbane’s home of dirt track speedway.

The historic venue has hosted National and International level events such as the Australian Sprintcar Open and World Series Sprintcars.

Archerfield will sign off with a two-night event, culminating in the 'Last Race' — a feature race worth $15,000 for the winner, and an additional $100 per lap led.

A field of 70 sprintcars have been nominated, and more than 200 entries will compete across all divisions over the two nights.

Waters will continue his 2023 Supercars campaign at the betr Darwin Triple Crown on June 16-18.

The Tickford driver won at Hidden Valley Raceway last year, and is 229 points behind series leader Brodie Kostecki.
