Cameron Waters has recorded a personal-best speedway result in regional Victoria.

The Tickford Racing driver, who placed fifth in the 2021 Supercars season, started fourth and placed third in the B-Main at Simpson Speedway.

Waters earned passage to the A-Main, and started 17th for the race.

The five-time Supercars race winner worked his way to fourth, marking his personal-best result in A-Mains.

"Had a good night at Simpson for the 15k All Stars Challenge," he posted to social media.

"Started 4th and ran 3rd in the B-main which put us into the A-main.

"Started 17th in the A-main and worked my way up to 4th.

"A massive thank you to the team and our sponsors."

Waters scored a heat victory at Simpson Speedway late last year, and later started fifth and finished sixth in the feature race.

It came after Waters was involved in an accident at Avalon Speedway on Boxing Day.

Waters wasn’t the only driver to impress away from his Supercars duties at the weekend.

Shell V-Power Racing Team driver Anton De Pasquale recorded a top 10 finish in a 24-hour race in Dubai.

De Pasquale placed sixth in the Dubai 24 Hour, which was the first of seven races in the 2022 24H GT Series powered by Hankook season.

Seven-time Supercars race winner De Pasquale combined with father and son Stephen and Brenton Grove, along with German Sven Muller, to steer a Grove-backed Porsche to sixth overall.

The 13-event 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle in March. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

The 13-round draft calendar was released during the Repco Bathurst 1000 weekend.
