Cameron Waters is looking to pick up where he left off in 2020 as he bids for a maiden Supercars title this year.

The 26-year-old finished second overall last year in a season he clinched a career-best nine podiums, including a maiden solo win at Tailem Bend.

He was narrowly defeated to a maiden Bathurst 1000 victory by Shane van Gisbergen, a day after he broke the Mount Panorama lap record to claim pole position.

On Tuesday, Tickford Racing released the livery for his Monster Energy Ford Mustang.

He completed a shakedown of his new car in December.

Waters and Monster have been joined at the hip since he made his full-time main game debut in 2016.

Five years on, the Mildura-born driver has firmed as a championship contender, with Supercars.com predicting he will be one of two key title combatants in 2021.

Should he carry his 2020 form into the new season, and buoyed by a positive shakedown, Waters is looking to bigger things in the new season.

"It's awesome to have the support of Monster Energy for a sixth season," he said.

"They've been massive supporters of my career, as have Enzed, Castrol, McQuinn Electrical, and others, so it's great to have their continued support and also have a number of new partners join the team.

"It's the toughest looking car on the grid, and by the end of last year it was one of the fastest, so we're definitely looking to pick up where we left off in 2020.

"We shook down the new chassis just before Christmas and it ran perfectly, so hopefully that's a sign of things to come and we can build on the momentum we finished last season with."

The car will be on track at the official pre-season test day at Winton Motor Raceway on February 16.

Waters will make his competitive return at the Repco Mt Panorama 500 across February 26-28. Tickets are on sale now.
