With his dual wins in Townsville, Cameron Waters helped Tickford Racing to a six-year winning first.
On Saturday, he helped the Ford team to its first Townsville victory since Mark Winterbottom's sweep in 2015.
Later that year, Chaz Mostert won the first and third races of the Sydney Motorsport Park weekend.
Until last weekend, that remained the last time Tickford had won more than once race on a weekend.
The team has now won 77 races since it debuted in the championship in 2003.
The 2015 season was Tickford's most successful campaign, with Winterbottom, Mostert and David Reynolds combining for 16 of the season's 36 race wins.
Winterbottom won nine races and the series title, Mostert five and Reynolds two.
Mostert's Race 23 win in Sydney was his last of the 2015 season; he would finish second behind Winterbottom at Sandown, before suffering season-ending injuries in Bathurst qualifying.

It was a tough run from there for Tickford, then run under the Prodrive Racing Australia banner.
The team managed two wins in 2016, four in 2017, one in 2018 and one in 2019.
Last year, Jack Le Brocq scored his maiden win for the team at Sydney Motorsport Park, before Waters recorded his first solo win at The Bend Motorsport Park.
Already this year, Waters has won three races; he held off Shane van Gisbergen in Race 11 at The Bend, before nailing two of the three wins in Townsville.
'One of his best, if not the best drive he’s had'
Team boss Tim Edwards said his Race 19 drive, in which he again held off van Gisbergen, was his best so far.
"The first race today was pretty sub-par for us, which was pretty unfortunate, but to turn it around again for this afternoon’s race was just fantastic,” Edwards said.
"We’ve been fortunate to have had Cam in our team for seven years now, and that race this afternoon was certainly one of his best, if not the best drive he’s had.
"We probably got a little lucky staying out and just beating the Safety Car, but Cam drove a great in-lap, the crew gave him a good stop, and we got track position."
