Cam Waters and Tim Edwards have both voiced their grievances over the former's penalty in Race 11.

Waters crossed the line first in Perth, but was classified fourth after a time penalty was applied.

The Tickford Racing driver was adjudged to have gained a lasting advantage over eventual winner Will Davison.

Davison made ground on Waters after the stops, and made an overtake attempt on lap 25.

Waters ran wide at Turn 7 and returned ahead of Davison; nine laps later, Waters was handed the penalty.

A late Safety Car eroded Waters' margin, with Davison classified as the victor.

An irate Waters was blunt in his immediate post-race comments: "First of all, I wouldn't be out there if I didn't get doored.

"I'm all for hard racing, I love that part of it.

"I've been racing for years, and everyone's been doing that.

"We got a penalty for it; we're the first one."

It left a bittersweet taste for Waters, who made his 200th race start; he later posted to social media, claiming he was "robbed".

During the race, team boss Edwards didn't mince his words: "Total bullshit.

"Clearly Will drove him off the track... we're always going to have a difference of opinion.

"There's two sides to that, he should not have got a five-second penalty.

"It's bullshit."

The Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight will conclude with Race 12 at 3:35pm local time.
