Victorian-based Supercars teams have commenced pre-season testing at Winton Motor Raceway.

Tuesday's running comes a week after Queensland-based teams tackled Queensland Raceway.

Testing allows teams and fans to see the new-look 2022 cars on track.

Tuesday's test is open to the public. As it did in Ipswich last week, the Winton test will not feature live timing.

Several teams will debut new drivers, headlined by Nick Percat's first laps with Walkinshaw Andretti United.

Jake Kostecki and Thomas Randle have joined Tickford Racing, the latter also completing a rookie day last week.

Kostecki's new-look Tradie Ford required repairs after an off at Turn 5.

Erebus Motorsport is turning laps with its new Boost Mobile livery, which was revealed on Monday.

Also present at Winton is Fabian Coulthard, who was confirmed as a WAU co-driver alongside Warren Luff on Tuesday morning.

Andre Heimgartner and Bryce Fullwood will turn their first laps with Brad Jones Racing, and Lee Holdsworth with Grove Racing.

Other teams, like Blanchard Racing and Team 18, will go into consolidation mode with unchanged line-ups.

Pye and Mark Winterbottom will be teammates for a third season at Team 18.

Pye was another to strike trouble, with Team 18 forced to resolve a power steering issue.

Testing commence at 8:30am AEST in fine conditions, although temperatures are expected to soar later in the day.

The ambient temperature at Winton is expected to reach 32 degrees, a far cry from the overcast, cool conditions in Ipswich last week.

Winton will also be in action for Super2 testing on Wednesday.

The Winton test will be the final hit-out for teams ahead of next weekend's Sydney season opener.

The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will open the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship on March 4-6.
