The V8 Supercars Championship is widely regarded as one of the best and most entertaining motorsport categories in the world and one of Australia's most popular sports. The Championship currently spans 14 events across Australia and New Zealand and runs for eleven months of every year.

Recent years have seen the entry of new manufacturers resulting in competitive racing the envy of the motorsport world and pointing to a bold, confident and exhilarating future for V8 Supercars.

Today, V8 Supercars is launching a market tender of a surrendered Racing Entitlement Contract (REC) ahead of the 2016 V8 Supercars Championship season.

A REC entitles a party to race one car in each Championship event and one REC is currently being tendered for parties to compete in the 2016 Championship season and beyond.

As arguably one of the most revered and professional motorsport categories in the world, V8 Supercars has already had interest from parties to purchase this REC.

Parties wishing to participate in the tender must submit a completed "Registration of Interest Form" to V8 Supercars by no later than 5.00pm (AEST) Friday, 24 April 2015.
