Jamie Whincup - Red Bull Racing Australia - finished seventh, second and first

Over the weekend's racing, Whincup got better and better, and was the one to come away with Sunday's 150 points.

While focus was on Lowndes, the #1 racerearned the significant number of wins after Sunday's race, finding himself second on the list of all-time race winners in the category.

He was bettered only by his teammate in the second race of the weekend, and despite coming to Tasmania fifth in the points, dropped to seventh after the first race - but is now in the lead. Will he maintain it until the end of the season, or be challenged at the next round in Perth?

Craig Lowndes - Red Bull Racing Australia - finished first, first and sixth

The man of the meet until the start of the final race. Three ARMOR ALL Pole Positions, two race wins and amazing speed across the weekend, with competitors in disbelief when he set a 51.54sec in Friday practice on the hard tyre.

While his lap one tap of David Reynolds promptly earned him a drive through penalty, Lowndes powered through the field back up to sixth and told v8supercars.com.au he could've pushed his Commodore harder.

He sits third in the points after to heading to Tasmania in sixth.

Andre Heimgartner - Super Black Racing - finished 11th, 25th, and eighth

The rookie who had never driven at Symmons Plains, never steered the FG X or raced on a green soft tyre starred in qualifying, earning fifth for the second race and seventh for the final.

An error in the second race cost him, but on Sunday he didn't make the same mistake again and finished eighth, which sees him sitting 14th in the points after heading to Tasmania in 20th.

Super Black was proud of his efforts, and the 19-year old is hoping to continue the form.

Chaz Mostert - Pepsi Max Crew PRA - finished fifth, 12th and second

Working with a different engineer over the weekend, Mostert finished two races in the top five and managed to improve from 22nd to 10th in the Championship points.

He topped the wet weather practice session and improved from sixth position to second after a solid effort in the car and from his team.

It's a huge improvement from last year, when he left Tasmania 22nd on the points table.
