Inside Supercars returns to your screens tonight with a new-look panel and the two South Australian stars who shook up the order at the weekend’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide.

Sunday race winner Nick Percat and Saturday pole sitter Scott Pye will be part of the first episode of the year, airing at 7.30pm AEDT tonight on FOX SPORTS 506.

The two rising stars will join a re-engerised panel for this season, with Greg Rust and Neil Crompton, and formers champs and Bathurst winners Mark Skaife and Russell Ingall rotating throughout the year.

Percat won the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with Garth Tander in 2011 and earned his first solo victory in Sunday’s race in front of a home crowd. His first full-time year in 2014 was spent with heavyweight team Walkinshaw Racing, though it is minnow Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport that has helped delivery his first win.

Part of the expanded DJR Team Penske, Pye showed plenty of speed over the weekend but faltered with pit stop issues and a penalty for failing to fulfil the minimum fuel drop of 140 litres across the shortened Sunday race.

He was running up the front but was relegated back to 17th after the 60-second penalty was applied. His teammate Fabian Coulthard was issued the same penalty.

Tonight’s Inside Supercars episode will recap the action at the chaotic season opening event, and look at the winning and losing drivers and teams of the first round.

The V8 Supercars hit the track next at the Formula One Australian Grand Prix, starting from Thursday next week, though it is a not-for-points round.

Stay tuned for Inside Supercars tonight on FOX SPORTS 506 from 7.30pm.
