The third instalment of the much-anticipated Inside Line – A season with Triple Eight docuseries is set to be released on Supercars official YouTube channel.

Inside Line follows the defining moments of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship, including Shane van Gisbergen’s stunning Sandown victory while nursing a broken collarbone, and Jamie Whincup’s controversial on and off-track squabble with his Red Bull Ampol Racing teammate in Sydney last October.

Seven one-hour episodes cover hot topics including the retirement of Managing Director and Team Principal Roland Dane and Whincup’s final season as a full-time driver.

The series features all rounds of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship and some incredible behind-the-scenes drama.

Fans will see exclusive interviews with all the key players, and full access to the whole team, along with Supercars greats Craig Lowndes and Scott McLaughlin.

Supercars.com breaks down what to expect in each episode.

Episode One: Roland Dane

Roland Dane is the founder of Triple Eight Race Engineering, the man who built a racing and engineering empire through sheer hard work and single-minded determination, creating one of the most successful racing teams in Australian history.

From humble beginnings in the UK at the Panther Westwinds Car Company, this is his story**.**

Episode Two: SVG

Shane Van Gisbergen, or SVG as he is known, is a Bathurst 1000 winner and three-time Supercars Champion.

He is as versatile behind the wheel as he is fast, and can drive the wheels off anything.

In episode two we follow the straight-talking van Gisbergen through the 2021 season and give fans a unique insight into the people who know him the best**.**

Episode Three: Rivals

The Repco Supercars Championship is built on rivalry.

Ford versus Holden, team versus team, driver versus driver.

Triple Eight has dominated Supercars because they consider every other team an arch-rival.

In this episode, we look at the rivals that not only keep Triple Eight fighting for race wins and championships, but have helped them to become who they are today.

Episode Four: Lowndes

The fourth episode of the highly anticipated series focuses on the brilliant career of the seven-time Great Race winner.

Lowndes is one of the biggest personalities in the Australian sporting landscape and a massive Supercars fan favourite.

In 2005 Lowndes joined forces with Triple Eight and is credited with taking the team to the elite level of Australian motorsport, handing the team their very first Supercars win.

The one-hour episode also follows how Lowndes’ was recruited by Triple Eight Managing Director and Team Principal Roland Dane in 2005, to achieving 100 wins, through to his emotional announcement of his retirement in 2018.

Episode Five: The Team

Triple Eight Race Engineering’s journey in Supercars is a modern-day success story.

But who is this group of people that put their personal lives on hold in the pursuit of Supercars glory and what makes them so special?

From humble beginnings to a Supercar juggernaut, Inside Line takes you inside the team that is Triple Eight to see what makes them so successful.

Episode Six: Whincup

Jamie Whincup, or J-Dub as he is known within the team, is one of the greatest Supercar drivers of all time.

The 2021 season was his final year as a full-time Supercars driver and our cameras were there to capture his final moments inside the 888 garage.

This episode takes you to the very heart of Whincup, why he has achieved so much in his chosen sport, and his blinding determination to be the very best until the last lap.

Episode Seven: The Future

The final round of the 2021 season was the last race for many of the key players inside Triple Eight Race Engineering.

But with change comes new beginnings and opportunities to continue the legacy created by their founder, Roland Dane.

The final episode looks ahead to the future of Triple Eight. New roles, new management, and a new driver.

While much will change, the team looks to continue its domination of the sport for years to come.
