Zak Best will carry Opposite Lock branding and Indigenous flair for his solo Supercars debut.

Best, 20, will race a fifth Tickford Racing Mustang at this weekend’s Merlin Darwin Triple Crown.

He joins the full-time suite of Cam Waters, James Courtney, Thomas Randle and Jake Kostecki.

The Victorian’s #78 Ford will be backed by 4WD and vehicle accessories retailer Opposite Lock.

Courtney ran Opposite Lock branding in Sydney and Tasmania earlier this year.

Best's black-based car also features Indigenous artwork on the bonnet and flanks.

This weekend’s starts come as Best attempts to win a maiden Super2 title.

He finished the 2021 Super2 season second overall, and impressed on his Repco Bathurst 1000 debut.

Best started the 2022 Super2 season with round victory in Sydney before a tough weekend in Perth.

"I can’t wait to hit the track in Darwin this weekend,” he said.

“Having the support of Opposite Lock for my first solo Supercars round is really, really exciting.

"Obviously they’ve partnered with the team earlier in the season and I actually bumped into some of their team at Sydney.

“To have it come full circle and have Opposite Lock on my car as a naming rights partner is very cool.

"The car looks sick and I feel pretty good.

"I’m looking forward to having some fun up in Darwin and hopefully bringing back some really solid results.”

Cars will hit the track on Friday for dual practice sessions.
