Jack Le Brocq will depart Tickford Racing at the end of the 2021 season.

The Monday news of Le Brocq’s exit coincides with the confirmation Jake Kostecki will join Tickford in 2022.

Kostecki is the final piece in Tickford’s four-car 2022 puzzle, with Thomas Randle and James Courtney confirmed and Cameron Waters expected to re-sign.

The door is ajar for Le Brocq to make a move elsewhere, with a straight swap with Matt Stone Racing incumbent Kostecki a mooted option.

Le Brocq has been a long-time fixture of the Ford squad, competing in its Super2 programme for a number of seasons.

The 29-year-old made his full-time main game debut with Tekno Autosports in 2018, before moving to Tickford in 2020.

The Victorian claimed a surprise win at Sydney Motorsport Park last July, and also scored a Tailem Bend podium.

Le Brocq retained a Tickford seat for 2021 despite the team’s downscaling to three cars.

However, results have been hard to come by in 2021 for Le Brocq, who lies 18th overall after seven rounds.

The 2016 Super2 runner-up has recorded four top 10 finishes in 19 starts this season.

"I want to thank Tickford for the opportunity to work with them these last two years," Le Brocq said.

"We’ve had some success together and I have learned a lot.

"I look forward to finishing off the season with them strongly, and moving to new opportunities in 2022.”

Tickford CEO Tim Edwards paid tribute to Le Brocq, whose Sydney win was cited as a highlight.

"Jack has been a real pleasure to work with over the years,” Edwards said.

"We’ve enjoyed memorable successes on track together, and some great times off of it, so we’ll miss having him around the team.

"As a young driver we helped climb the ladder to Supercars, it was really rewarding to see him win his first race in one of our cars last year.

"We have genuinely enjoyed working with Jack over the years, and we look forward to finishing the year strong together before wishing him well in the next chapter of his career.”
