Friday April 15 at 6.00pm: 2010 Gold Coast Race 20

The streets of Surfers Paradise invited international imports to add to the action in 2010.

The 102-lap epic had it all, with nearly a third of the 29-car field failing to make the distance, including Saturday winner Garth Tander.

The race heated up when Shane van Gisbergen edged towards a maiden victory with an ultra-aggressive drive.

Van Gisbergen applied heavy pressure to leader Jamie Whincup with a handful of laps to go.

The young Kiwi pushed Whincup all the way to the finish, and the end margin was less than a second.

Sunday April 17 at 6.00pm: 2004 Perth Race 11

The venue of the next round of season 2022, Perth, put on a show in the second race of the 2004 weekend.

Mark Skaife, Rick Kelly, Marcos Ambrose and Jason Bright all traded the lead in the 50-lapper.

Disaster struck for Skaife when he was slapped with a drive-through for pit lane speeding while leading the race.

With Skaife out of contention, Kelly led until succumbing to the pressure of Bright with three laps to go.

Monday April 18 at 6.00pm: 2004 Perth Race 12

Bright was the big winner in Perth, taking two of the three race wins to become the first double-round winner of 2004.

Bright overtook Kelly on track, having lost out to the K-Mart Commoore in the pit cycle for the second race running.

Kelly eventually fell to fourth behind Richards and Ambrose, with Greg Murphy’s chances dashed by a spin on the way to pit lane in the early stages.
