The Bend Motorsport Park's layout features in the trophies for the venue's inaugural Supercars event this weekend.

Silverware for the top three in Races 22 and 23 of the season is built around a scale, 3D version of The Bend's 4.95km track.

South Australia's newest motorsport facility is the first permanent circuit opened in Australia since Queensland Raceway in 1999.

It is hosting Supercars for the first time this weekend, with teams setting up on Thursday before practice gets underway on Friday morning.

Nearly half of the drivers in the field already have some experience of the circuit, across April's Shannons Nationals race meeting, a recent support category test and private running.

Among them, seven-time champion Jamie Whincup – an ambassador for the venue – classed the circuit as "ultra-technical" and full of "unique" corners.

The program for the maiden OTR SuperSprint includes demonstrations of a pair of classic Formula 1 cars.
