SNEAK PEEK: Inside Line - A season with Triple Eight

The third instalment of the much-anticipated Inside Line docuseries, which followed Triple Eight in 2021, will premiere in 2022.

Inside Line – A season with Triple Eight follows Shane van Gisbergen’s journey to claiming his second title and Jamie Whincup’s final season as a full-time driver.

Departing Managing Director and Team Principal Roland Dane is also a focus of the series, as he prepares to hand over his leadership roles to Whincup in 2022.

The new season follows the recent series, which centred on Walkinshaw Andretti United’s unprecedented COVID-impacted 2020 season.

Van Gisbergen and Whincup, team manager Mark Dutton, race engineers David Cauchi and Wes McDougall and co-owner Jess Dane will feature.

A trailer released on January 1 gave fans a sneak peek of the docuseries, which will include behind-the-scenes footage and in-depth interviews with key team members.

Fans will also gain insight into Van Gisbergen’s stunning Sandown victory while nursing a broken collarbone, and the intra-team battle at the NTI Townsville 500.

"My whole plan for the past five years has been trying to set them up, so they can do it all without me," Dane says in the trailer.

"The best way for them to make sure I’m not poking my nose in is to win.

"If something goes wrong, I want to know why."

Further broadcast information for Inside Line – A season with Triple Eight will be announced in 2022.

The 13-event 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle in March. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
