Supercars can confirm it will provide a full refund to loyal fans who braved Sunday’s heavy rain and waited outdoors to see the final race of the Beaurepaires Sydney Cup.

All single-day trackside and grandstand ticket holders for Sunday will receive a refund through Ticketek.

Supercars CEO Sean Seamer said the decision was the right thing to do for fans who braved conditions to watch Race 30 of the Repco Supercars Championship.

“Supercars shares the disappointment of fans who waited in the rain to see the penultimate race of 2021,” Seamer said.

“Nobody wanted to see the Championship concluded under those circumstances.

“We think it only fair that those who purchased single-day Trackside and Grandstand tickets for Sunday receive a refund.

“We thank all of our supporters and partners for their patience and understanding.”

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will conclude with the biggest-ever Repco Bathurst 1000 at the spiritual home of racing, Mount Panorama next week.

Tickets are still on sale through Ticketek for the blockbuster six-day event, that will begin on Tuesday 30 November and feature nine support categories ahead of the Great Race, which begins at 12:15pm AEDT on Sunday, 5 December. Tickets are available here.

The Repco Bathurst 1000 will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and the Seven Network and streamed live on Kayo and 7plus.
