Supercars has partnered with the Australian Government Department of Health for this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000.

The partnership includes the development of a video featuring Supercar drivers, encouraging Australians to roll up their sleeves and get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The video, which includes messages from Supercars drivers, aims to promote awareness and important messaging around vaccinations.

Lieutenant General John Frewen, Coordinator General Operation COVID Shield said:

“Australians have stepped up to get vaccinated in incredible numbers, with over 86 per cent of adults in Australia now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“Partnerships like this help to spread the message of protecting yourself and your loved ones so you can keep going to events like the Bathurst.

“As we enter the festive season and people are out and about more, it is crucial if you haven't been vaccinated you do so now, and if you're due for your booster dose you book that in.

Together we can protect Australia against COVID-19.“

Supercars General Manager – Partnerships, Jamie Black said: “Supercars has faced many challenges over the past two years which is why we are pleased to have this partnership in place for the final event of our 2021 Championship, the Repco Bathurst 1000.

“There is nothing more exciting than racing in front of thousands of fans trackside, which is why we support this key initiative.”
