The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will host a unique Summernats powerslide exhibition.

The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will open the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship on March 4-6. CLICK HERE to purchase your tickets.

The event will feature an on-track entertainment extravaganza, with the first Supercars race of 2022 to commence under lights on the Saturday night.

In a first for Supercars, Sunday’s on-track entertainment will be headlined by a powerslide demonstration along Brabham Straight.

Six modified and restored cars packing more than 1000 horsepower will take to the Eastern Creek circuit to burn up some rubber.

A supercharged V8 Ford Capri and a 2000 horsepower, twin-turbo V8 Holden Statesman will feature.

A turbocharged Toyota Cresta and supercharged V8 Datsun ute will also take to Sydney Motorsport Park.

The collaboration with the iconic annual car festival will create an epic spectacle for fans.

"It’s going to be pretty special; the vehicles have been hand-picked from the talent that's out there," Summernats Communications Manager Adrian Hodgson said.

"I don't think there's a single one that makes less than 1000 horsepower; one of them actually makes closer to 2000 horsepower.

"These cars are built to destroy tyres.

“In this case, they are going to go as hard and as fast and as far up the main straight at Sydney Motorsport Park as they can.

"That's without touching the brake or getting off the accelerator.

"It's going to be pretty spectacular."

Summernats hosted a Supercars first in 2016, when then-six-time champion Jamie Whincup and Triple Eight performed a number of demonstrations.

The broader entertainment package at Sydney Motorsport Park will include the SuperKids Zone, merchandise alley, food and beverage facilities, and fireworks.

Global festival smash hit Hot Dub Time Machine will headline the off-track entertainment.

The event will host some of Australia’s hottest DJs as off-track entertainment.

DJs and some of Sydney’s leading cover bands will perform within a new party precinct next to the main grandstand over all three days of the event.

Sydneysiders will also catch their first glimpse of the new Gen3 prototypes, with the General Motors Camaro and Ford Mustang to be driven on track.

Support categories have also been confirmed for the event.

The Dunlop Super2 Series, Aussie Racing Cars Super Series, Touring Car Masters and the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 Series will all take to the track.

Plans are underway for more on-track displays for fans to take place across the event. Details will be released in due course.

Tickets including grandstand seating, general admission and park and view are now on sale through Ticketek.
