UPDATE 3 FINAL: 1830hrs Sunday 15th September 2013

Matters arising from Race 28:

The Stewards imposed the following PLPs:

  • Car #2 Nick Percat for exceeding the pit lane speed limit at pit entry – 44kph;

  • Car #80 Paul Morris for exceeding the pit lane speed limit at pit entry – 50 kph;

  • Car #3 Jonny Reid for Breach of D11.4.7 Safety Car procedures;

  • Car #1 Jamie Whincup for rotating the wheels during a pit stop – D 12.8.10;

  • Car #12 Chaz Mostert for exceeding the pit lane speed limit at pit entry – 48kph.

The IO conducted post race investigations into the following incidents and found no breach of the rules:

  • The contact between Car #97 Jereon Bleekemolen and Car #4 Craig Baird in pit lane;

  • The contact between Car #8 Andrew Jones and Car #888 Warren Luff at Turn 1 on Lap 24.

Following an investigation and admission by Car #19 Jonathon Webb of careless driving, causing contact with Car #12 Chaz Mostert at Turn 12 on Lap 161, The Stewards imposed a penalty being the loss of 25 Championship points.

Matters arising from Warm Up:

The Stewards imposed a fine of $750 to Car #2 (Nick Percat) for a pit lane infringement (exceed Pit Lane Speed at Pit Entry).

Matters arising from Qualifying Race 2:

An investigation was conducted into an incident at Turn 1 involving various cars and no breach of the rules was established.

Matters arising from Qualifying Race 1:

Investigations were conducted into the following incidents and found no breach of the rules was able to be established:

  • Paul Morris Car #80 and Matthew Halliday Car #88 on Lap 1;

  • Chris Pither Car #21 and Ryan Briscoe Car #66 on Lap 11;

  • Craig Baird Car #4 and Andrew Jones Car #8 on Lap 20.

The Stewards imposed a PLP on Car #18 John McInytre for a driving infringement, causing contact with Car #17 Ashley Walsh.

Matters arising from Qualifying:

The Stewards imposed a fine of $350 to Car #5 (Mark Winterbottom) for a pit lane infringement (exceed Pit Lane Speed at Pit Entry).

Following an investigation and admission by Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport that it breached Parc Ferme conditions D14.5.1 in relation to Car #80, Stewards excluded Car #80 from the results. Stewards gave permission for Car #80 to start in Qualifying Race 1 from rear of grid.

Matters arising from Practice - Part 4:

The Stewards imposed a fine of $350 to Car #5 (Steven Richards) for a pit lane infringement (exceed Pit Lane Speed at Pit Entry).

Matters arising from Practice - Part 2:

Following an investigation and admission by Motorsport Holdings (Car #360) that they failed to ensure all safety aspects of their Car (i.e, failed to secure a wheel), the Stewards imposed a fine of $5000 ($2000 suspended until 31 December 2013).

Matters arising from Practice - Part 3:

There were no issues.
