Stewards Summary Update #3 FINAL: issued Sunday 18****th September 2016 at 1920hrs**.**

Matters from Race 20

The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Car #88, Jamie Whincup, for a breach of Rule D3.2.3 (Co-Driver, Paul Dumbrell, failing to keep safety belts secured over the Hans device in pit lane before the car came to a stop prior to a Driver change).

The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Car #14, Tim Slade, for a breach of rule D3.2.3 (Driver, Tim Slade, failing to secure safety belts before the car moved from a stationary position in the pit lane following a Driver change).

Following and investigation and admission by Car #90, David Reynolds that he breached Rule D8.4.6.2 (Driver, David Reynolds, failing to achieve total effective resting time equal to at least one third of the total scheduled race distance), the Stewards imposed a penalty of Exclusion from Race 20.

Matters from Qualifying for Qualifying Race 2:

The IO conducted a post-race investigation into an incident involving contact between Car #3 Andre Heimgartner and Car #21 Tim Blanchard at Turn 9, and determined no breach of the rules had occurred.

The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Car #1, Dean Canto for careless driving causing contact with Cars #17 Tony D’Alberto and #888 Steven Richards at Turn 1, Lap 1.

Following an investigation and an admission by Prodrive Racing (Australia) Pty Ltd that Car #1 Dean Canto breached Rule D9.2.15 by removing wheels on the grid, the Stewards imposed a penalty of a Post-Race Pit Lane penalty (35 second) on Car #1 Dean Canto.

Following an investigation and an admission by Brad Jones Racing that Car #8 Andrew Jones breached Rule D9.2.15 by removing wheels on the grid, the Stewards imposed a penalty of a Post-Race Pit Lane penalty (35 second) on Car #8 Andrew Jones.

Following an investigation and admission by Super Black Racing Pty Ltd that Car #111 Richie Stanaway breached Rule D18.1.13 by failing to maintain minimum tyre pressure, the Stewards imposed a penalty of exclusion.
