UPDATE 3 FINAL: 1815hrs Sunday 8th December 2013

Matters arising from Race 36:

The Stewards imposed a fine of $1000 on Walkinshaw Performance for a pit lane infringement, team member cross the fast lane before the last car left pit lane (Rule D.3.5.3).

A Pit Lane Penalty was imposed on Car #88, Dean Fiore, for passing Car #97, Shane van Gisbergen, under yellow flag conditions.

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 36:

There were no issues. 

UPDATE 2: 0830hrs Sunday 8th December 2013

Matters arising from Race 35:

Pit Lane Penalties were imposed during the Race as follows:

  • Upon Car #60 James Moffatt for an unsafe pit release

  • Upon Car #9, Maro Engel, for a pit lane infringement (spin wheels during pit stop)

  • Upon Car #4, Lee Holdsworth, for a pit lane infringement (fail to stop for red light at pit exit)

  • Upon Car #360, James Moffat, for a driving infringement (causing contact with Car #80, Scott Pye, at Turn 3 on Lap 62).

Investigations were conducted into the following incidents and no breach of the rules was established:

  • Contact between Car #88, Dean Fiore, and Car #12, Chas Mostert, at Turn 2 on Lap 2

  • Contact between Car #66, Russell Ingall, and Car #8, Jason Bright in pit lane

  • Contact between Car #5, Mark Winterbottom, and Car #888, Craig Lowndes, on Lap 14

  • Contact between Car #97, Shane van Gisbergen, and Car #17, Tim Blanchard, at Turn 1 on Lap 17

  • Incident involving Car #15, Rick Kelly, and Car #22, Nick Percat, at Turn 1 on Lap 61

  • Contact between Car #5, Mark Winterbottom, and Car #3, Tony D’Alberto, on Lap 61.

Following an investigation and admission of Careless Driving by Car #97, Shane van Gisbergen, causing contact with Car # 14 Fabian Coulthard at Turn 8 on Lap 72, the Stewards imposed a penalty of the deduction of 25 Drivers’ Championship Points.

Matters arising from the Top Ten Shootout:

There were no issues.

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 35:

After an investigation and admission of careless driving by Car #360, James Moffat, causing contact with Car #34, Alex Premat, the Stewards imposed a penalty of the deduction of 3 grid spots for Race 35 on Car #360, James Moffat.
