UPDATE 3: FINAL 2000hrs Sunday 2nd March 2014

Matters arising from Practice 4 (update):

Following an investigation and admission of careless driving by Nick Percat, Car #222, crossing of chevron at Pit Entry, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a $1000 fine, $500 of which is suspended until 31/12/2014.

Matters arising from Race 1 (update):

Following an investigation and admission of careless driving by Nick Percat, Car #222, causing contact with Michael Caruso, Car #36 at Turn 9, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 25 Championship Points on Nick Percat.

Following an investigation and admission of careless driving Michael Caruso, Car #36, causing contact with Dale Wood, Car #21, after a careless circuit re-entry at Turn 9, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 25 Championship Points on Michael Caruso, fully suspended until 31/12/2014.

An investigation was conducted into the incident involving contact between Russell Ingall, Car #23, and Tim Slade, Car #47, and no breach of the rules was established.

Matters arising from Race 2 (update):

Following an investigation and admission of careless driving by James Courtney, Car #22, causing contact with Lee Holdsworth, Car #4, and Scott Pye, Car #16, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 25 Championship Points on James Courtney.

Investigations were conducted into the following incidents and no breach of the rules was established:

a) contact between Nick Percat, Car #222, and David Wall, Car #17, at Turn 4;b) contact between James Courtney, Car #22, and Jason Bright, Car #8, during Lap 17.

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 3:

The Stewards imposed a fine of $350 on David Wall, Car #17, for exceeding the speed limit in Pit Lane.

Matters arising from the Top Ten Shootout:

There were no issues. 

Matters arising from Race 3:

The following PLPs were imposed during the Race:

  1. a)  on Michael Caruso, Car #36, for a pit lane infringement (exceed speed limit);

  2. b)  on James Moffat, Car #360, for a driving infringement (careless driving – cause

    contact with Will Davison, Car #9 at Turn 8);

  3. c)  on Rick Kelly, Car #15, for a pit lane infringement (exceed speed limit);

  4. d)  on Shane van Gisbergen, Car #97, and Rick Kelly, Car #15, for a driving

    infringement (breach of Safety Car restart procedures at restart 1);

  5. e)  on Jamie Whincup, Car #1, for a pit lane infringement (car controller work on car in

    breach of D12.2.2.4).

Following an investigation and admission of careless driving by Jamie Whincup, Car #1, causing contact with Michael Caruso, Car #36 at Turn 9, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 25 Championship Points on Jamie Whincup.

The investigation into the incidents involving contact between Russell Ingall, Car #23, and Dale Wood, Car #21 is continuing and will be determined at a later date. 

UPDATE 2: 2015hrs Saturday 1st March 2014

Matters arising from Practice - Part 4:

Pit Crew members of the Teams listed below were adjudged to have been incorrectly attired and have crossed the prescribed line during the session (a session in which refueling was allowed) in breach of Rule D22.3.5 (including the penalties imposed):

  1. a)  Garry Rogers Motorsport – multiple breaches ($500 fine);

  2. b)  Dick Johnson Racing Pty Ltd ($500 fine, suspended until 31/12/14);

  3. c)  Motorsport Holdings Pty Ltd ($500 fine, suspended until 31/12/14);

  4. d)  Erebus Motorsport V8 Trust ($500 fine, suspended until 31/12/14);

  5. e)  Brad Jones Racing ($500 fine, suspended until 31/12/14); and

  6. f)  Walkinshaw Performance ($500 fine, suspended until 31/12/14).

Matters arising from Race 1:

The following PLPs were imposed for exceeding the pit lane speed limit: a) James Moffat, Car #360 on Lap 6;b) Chaz Mostert, Car #6 on Lap 12.

There are other matters the subject of ongoing investigations.

Matters arising from Race 2:

The following PLPs were imposed:

  1. a)  on Jack Perkins, Car #18, for an unsafe entry to pit lane;

  2. b)  on Shane van Gisbergen, Car #97, for careless driving causing contact with Scott

    Pye, Car #16, at Turn 9.

There are other matters the subject of ongoing investigations. 

Matters arising from Practice - Part 1 to Part 3:

There were no issues.

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 1:

There were no issues.

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 2:

There were no issues.
