After a severe incident at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 in 2015, Chaz Mostert returned to Supercars this year finishing the championship in seventh position.

How did he rate his come-back year to Supercars?

1. What was your best race?

For me probably Bathurst, just getting back there getting to drive a Supercar around there again was pretty cool.

2. Most disappointing race?

The most disappointing was Winton, having a chance to maybe get quite highly up the podium, I made an error there which really sucked.

3. Best on-track battle?

With Shane at Townsville, going back and forth.

4. Best off-track memory or experience?

Rocking up at Clipsal and seeing the support from all the different fans for my come back after breaking my leg last year, it was pretty special.

5. Best performance by another driver?

There has been so many different winners this year, so I can’t really count on one person. I think all the guys who have won races this year all deserved it and the teams all did a good job.

6. What was your goal at the start of the season and how did that play out?

The goal for me was to get into the top five of the championship and I fell a little short of that. I wanted to get back qualifying good again and try and win races. It didn’t quite fall our way this year, but it will just make us hungrier for next year.

7. What was the team’s biggest achievement for the year?

The two wins for Frosty this year was the teams highlight.

8. What was the biggest news story of the year?

I can’t really comment on that one. I didn’t read the newspaper I don’t know.

9. Who do you think will improve the most in 2017?

Cam Waters, with a year under his belt now in Supercars.

10. What are you most looking forward to in 2017?

Getting to Adelaide and starting from scratch again. I am 100% right with the body now and ready to have another crack at the championship.
