Erebus Motorsport will be one to watch in 2021, with Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki forming an all-new driver line-up.

Kostecki, who will be the least experienced driver on the grid with regards to main game race starts, will have a key voice in his corner for his maiden full-time campaign.

George Commins will be Kostecki's race engineer for the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship, and brings a wealth of experience to the team.

Commins is no stranger to bringing young drivers through the ranks, having completed a stint as chief engineer at Arden International.

The team is owner by Red Bull Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner, and has been used as one of the destinations for the team's junior drivers on the road to F1.

Commins has worked with the likes of Carlos Sainz Jr, Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat.

Brown and Kostecki are in Commins' wheelhouse, with the esteemed engineer keen to put them to the test.

"I'm excited about working with young guns again," Commins said.

"I've worked with a lot of the Red Bull juniors when I was in Europe and I always enjoy the process of educating them and watching them develop.

"It is more rewarding to help these young guys as opposed to working with a driver that has been there and done it.

"Young drivers tend to get in a car and drive it to the best of their ability, and don’t have any preconceived ideas on a certain setup direction."

Tom Moore has also been promoted to work on Brown's car for the 2021 season.

Last week, Erebus completed a solid day of testing at Winton, with team boss Barry Ryan delighted with the day's running.

Commins was also pleased with the two rookies as they adapted to cars set up to their liking.

"A common misconception about rookie drivers is that it’ll take them a few years to make their way up to the front," Commins said.

"Whilst Brodie and Will might be classed as rookies in this particular category, the boys were very strong and consistent.

"They didn’t put a foot wrong all day."

Erebus will return for the official pre-season test on February 16 at Winton Motor Raceway.

Brown and Kostecki will make their full-time main game debuts at the Repco Mt Panorama 500. Tickets are on sale now.
