Next weekend’s 64th running of the Great Race will be Repco’s first as naming rights partner of the event.

The Repco Bathurst 1000 will close out the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship, with Shane van Gisbergen and Red Bull Ampol Racing clinching the drivers’ and teams’ titles.

Through every decade in the history of the Bathurst 1000 since the 1960s, Repco has had a visible presence at Mount Panorama.

Be it supporting teams and drivers, Repco has been involved in some way, shape or form. It even had a long-standing sponsorship of Griffins Bend during the 1980s and 1990s.

In 2021, Repco took over as the primary partner of both the Supercars Championship and the Bathurst 1000.

It also backed the season-opening Repco Mt Panorama 500 in February, and is celebrating the inclusion of its charity partner, LifeChanger Foundation, as the official charity partner of the 2021 Great Race.

"It is an incredible privilege to be the naming rights partner of this iconic race,” said Wayne Bryant, Executive General Manager - Repco.

"For at least the next five years, Bathurst will be a big part of our lives.

"We didn’t want to just turn up for one weekend a year, we want to have a long lasting, meaningful impact in this community.

"We have a great relationship with LifeChanger Foundation and have seen first-hand the impact their youth mentoring programs have.

"It is fantastic that the Bathurst Regional Council and Supercars have embraced them, and we intend to continue to invest in the Bathurst community."

Cr Ian North - Mayor of Bathurst added: "The Bathurst Regional Council is pleased to welcome Repco to not only Mount Panorama and The Great Race, but the Bathurst region as a whole.

"We can see that Repco genuinely wants to make a difference and be part of the Bathurst community year round.

"They aren’t just here for one weekend a year, and we have seen that through them bringing their charity partner LifeChanger to Bathurst as their first major initiative.

"The BRC has already formed a great relationship with Repco and look forward to working together for the race and our great region."

Scott Watters - LifeChanger Foundation said: "The LifeChanger Foundation is delighted and humbled to have been chosen as the charity partner at this year's iconic Repco Bathurst 1000.

"This partnership with Repco enables LifeChanger community programs to directly engage and support Bathurst youth, building more thriving, resilient young people.

“Many of the health and wellbeing statistics surrounding young people are challenging and alarming.

"LifeChanger programs develop self-esteem, self-awareness, positive self identity and resilience. We are excited to be working alongside and empowering young people in the Bathurst community.’

"We are grateful for the community focus and support of Repco and Supercars and look forward to a long-standing, impactful partnership."

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Series seasons will conclude at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 503) and streamed on Kayo.

The Seven Network will provide live free to air coverage of the event. Tickets for the event and camping are on sale now.
