This weekend’s BP Ultimate Sydney SuperSprint will be a TV-only event due to government-enforced COVID restrictions, with the situation for fan attendance not yet clear for later rounds.

Supercars is working consistently with state authorities to update fans for those rounds later in the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

Planned race meetings at The Bend, Auckland and a second stop at Bathurst were also dropped off the initial post-COVID revised calendar.

The full current schedule can be viewed here.

Tickets purchased for cancelled events – or those where crowds will no longer be allowed –  can be refunded via Ticketek.

Fans wishing to seek a refund can do so here for the affected Australian events or by contacting [email protected] for the New Zealand round.

Patrons should allow up to 20 days for Australian events, or 30 days for the New Zealand event, for the refund to appear in their account once a request has been made.

In a fan Q&A, Supercars CEO Sean Seamer targeted Darwin in August for a return of crowds and noted camping for Bathurst’s annual Great Race in October is still on the cards.

“We’re working on a camping plan for Bathurst that allows us to observe current government restrictions and social distancing, so we’re really hopeful and planning towards having people there at the Bathurst 1000,” he said.

Three sprint races will make up the first round back at Sydney Motorsport Park this Saturday and Sunday.
